Flying (2)Who is the smartest and most magical nanny any two children can ever imagine?!None other than the beautiful singing, dancing, and umbrella flying, Mary Poppins!

If you love imagination and a storyline that teaches you to “never judge a carpetbag by its cover”, then you will not want to miss “Mary Poppins,” The Broadway Musical, right here in Gwinnett!! This “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” show is making its way on to the stage at the Aurora Theatre on July 17 through August 31!

This musical presents a story of magic and fantasy as Michael and Jane, son and daughter of George and Winifred Banks, create an ad requesting for an imagination-filled and kind-hearted nanny to replace their latest nanny. Although the children’s ad is torn up by their father, it is miraculously received by the one and only Mary Poppins.

The children are amazed by the kindness and imagination that Mary brings into their life, as she is blown in by the east wind to the Bank’s doorstep, Number Seventeen Cherry Tree Lane, London.

Encounters with chimney sweeps, shopkeepers, toys that come to life by the snap of a finger, and side-chalk fantasy worlds are only some of the adventures that follow Mary Poppins arrival.

This two hour and twenty minute musical is one that the whole family is sure to enjoy!!

Performances take place Wednesday through Saturday at 8pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30pm.

On Wednesday, August 6, 13, and 20, you can enjoy a matinee show at 10am for only $20.
