4th of July Events in Gwinnett

There are plenty of patriotic events to keep you and your family entertained this holiday!

There is a Prelude to the 4th Event going on July 3rd at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse Lawn in Lawrenceville. Come to enjoy dinner at one of Gwinnett’s acclaimed eclectic restaurants and then enjoy a performance of South Pacific, presented by Aurora Theatre and performed with a full live orchestra. A rousing fireworks display accompanied by a live rendition of Stars and Stripes will follow the show. The event is held from 7:30pm-10pm, and admission is totally free! Also on July 3rd is the Independence Day Celebration & Mother’s Finest Concert in Downtown Norcross South Peachtree Street and Lillian Webb Community Park. This is a a family friendly event highlighted with live music, splash fountains, and one of the best firework displays in metro Atlanta. It’s held from 4pm-10pm, and admission is free. The 2013 Sparks in the Park will be held at E. E. Robinson Park in Sugar Hill on July 3rd, as well. You’ll love this festival full of fireworks, inflatable rides, live entertainment, a movie – “The Lorax”and food vendors! Admission is free from 6:30pm-midnight, and for more information, don’t hesitate to call 770-945-6716.

On July 3rd, Duluth Celebrates America will be held at Scott Hudgens Park in Duluth. Festivities include live entertainment, food vendors, and activities for kids, plus fabulous fireworks & more! It starts at 4pm and ends at 11pm, and like most of the other events, is free, but donations are graciously accepted. For more info, call 770-476-3434.

Now to events happening on July 4th!

Sparkle in the Park will be held at Lilburn City Park from 4pm-10pm this Thursday! Join us as we celebrate with music, food, and of course, fireworks! A1A, the Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show, will bring their high energy, family friendly concert. Kids’ activities and concessions will also be available, so there will be something for the whole family to enjoy! Admission is free, and parking and shuttles are complementary as well. Loganville’s Town Green will also be hosting an Independence Day Celebration, where you can enjoy a parade followed by a day of celebration with food, music, and games! The parade starts at 10 am and the celebration is from 12pm-2pm. For more information, call 770-466-1165.

The Mall of Georgia in Buford will be hosting their annual 11th Fabulous Fourth. a day with family-friendly festivities, musical entertainment, food concessions, and the largest fireworks display in the country. As part of its Movies under the Stars series, Mall of Georgia also offers a FREE post-fireworks movie screening of Playing for Keeps  on the impressive 55-foot screen. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and settle in for the evening. The event starts at 2pm, and for more information, call 678-482-8788.

Do you like bowling? Well, Let Freedom Roll, an event being held at Stars and Strikes in Dacula is offering free, all day bowling on the 4th!! Be sure to stop by!

The 46th annual Fantastic Fourth Celebration at Stone Mountain Park will be held this year from 10:30am to 8pm, with a Lasershow at 9:30 pm, 3 nights in a row! There is a $10 vehicle admission fee, but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying one of the best 4th of July celebrations in Georgia! For more info, call 770-498-5690.
