What a better way to celebrate Father’s day than enjoying Gwinnett!
The Gwinnett Braves play the Durham Bulls at Coolray Field Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:05 p.m. Bring the family out to enjoy beautiful weather (forecast predicts upper in the low 90’s and mostly sunny), a foot long hotdog, and cool ice cream for dessert. The Georgia Force also plays the New Orleans Voodoos June 17th at 8:05.
You could also take a Ghost Tour Friday or Saturday night with “The Barefoot Undertaker” through downtown Lawrenceville hosted by the Aurora Theater. Is your father not into being spooked? Try taking him to his favorite restaurant. Enjoy dinner and a show at Medieval Times where dad gets in free with the purchase of one adult admission. You could treat your dad to the Father’s Day package which includes a Father’s Day photo, 28 oz. beverage, a knight’s flag, and a commemorative scroll.
A nice weekend trip to Atlanta to enjoy the numerous attractions is always fun. Try the Fernbank Museum’s 96 Days (and Ways) to Play. Visit the GA Aquarium to see the two new whale sharks, Yushan and Taroko. The Imagine It! Children’s Art Museum is holding a special reading of “Just Me and My Dad” by Mercer Mayer and offering interactive crafts and activities for families Saturday, June 18th at noon.
Stone Mountain is also featuring Atlanta Fest where renowned Christian music artists are coming to perform, June 15-18. Parking for Stone Mountain is ten dollars. Tickets for the concert are sold separately. Your family could also stick around for the Laser Show which now features 3-D projections.
So what ever you choose to do for Father’s Day, make sure it’s EXTRA special!
